From April until October Bagnères-de-Luchon provides a lot of different entertainment for you.

A detailed programme is published each fortnight with the venues and schedules of each event. This is available from the Hôtel Alouette.
You can see performances of music at open air or theatre style venues, magic, plays with famous authors, theatre, etc.
Bagnères-de-Luchon has a greyhound track and you can bet on the races. The greyhounds chase a remote-controlled hare. The best bit is at the end of the race when the dogs catch up with the hare as it stops. It is even better when the hare breaks down half way through the race!
The greyhound track is located at the edge of the aerodrome, a 5 minute walk from the Hôtel Alouette.
The House of Curiste is in the park near the Thermal Baths. This is open to everyone and has exhibitions of paintings, music in the afternoon, games, and lectures. A giant chess game is provided for you to play with, under the trees.
The University of Temps Libre, UTL, organises a lot of conferences on varied topics. The detailed programme for the fortnight explains it all.
There is a bridge club on Rue Sylvie, in the town centre. You can join it by phoning 05 61 79 14 18.
The Association of the Friends of Nature organises short walks and talks on topics such as insects, mushrooms, flowers, etc. You can discover the treasures of nature in the area around Bagnères-de-Luchon. You should contact the tourist office or to go to the House of Curiste to book your place.
Each summer many tournaments are organised at the fronton. You will be able to see various sports and attend high level competitions. The Fronton is in the "Reserve de la Pique", a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bagnères-de-Luchon.
