You come by: plane - train - road - or on foot.

You arrive by road on a bike, motor bike or in a car.
When you arrive the road sign will say 'Luchon' - don't panic the council hadn't got enough money for a sign big enough for the full name!!

There is free parking at the front of the hotel, and around the church opposite. You can use the restricted area (white cross on the floor) to park just in front of the hotel's main door, for the short time it will take to unload your luggage.
The Hôtel Alouette has a small garage available free of charge for your bike or motor bike.
Ask at reception when you arrive.
Possible routes into Luchon from:
Toulouse, Montréjeau, Saint Gaudens, or the Col de Peyresourde, or the Col du Portillon.

After the road sign for "LUCHON" you come to a roundabout, go straight across. Follow the railway line on your right.
Approximately 500 m further on, the railway line stops. The station is not quite visible from here.
The road turns sharp right, go straight across the pedestrian crossing (10m) to the roundabout.
This roundabout is known as the "lioness" because of the large beautiful statue in the middle. At this roundabout turn right. The Hôtel Alouette is 30 meters on your left, in front of the church.
The church of Barcugnas respects your rest: it is silent.
2 - You arrive from the col de Peyresourdephotographic guide
As you come downhill into the town, do not take the right turn towards the town centre. You come to the lioness roundabout (with a statue that you will see from the back).
At the roundabout take the second exit, towards the SNCF railway station.
The Hôtel Alouette is 30 m on your left, opposite the small church of Barcugnas, which takes care of your ears: the bells don't ring.
3 - You arrive from the col du Portillonphotographic guide
Just after you come into the town take the road to the right into the Avenue de Gascogne. Approximately 100 m further on, bear left in the direction of Juzet de Luchon.
Approximately 500 m further on you arrive at a junction with a STOP sign. Turn left, into Avenue Bois Chantant.
At the first roundabout (approximately 300 m) turn right into the Boulevard Charles de Gaulle. You cross a small river, then come to a junction with a stop sign, go straight across.
After 50m you come to a roundabout with a fountain. The SNCF railway station is on your right and the Hôtel Alouette on your left. Turn left.
The Hôtel Alouette is 30 m on your right, opposite a small church called "Barcugnas", don't worry the bells are silent.
