The Hôtel Alouette is situated in Bagnères-de-Luchon in the centre of the Pyrenees, equidistant from the Mediterranean and Atlantic, and at an altitude of 623m / 2,044ft.
Our hotel is 1 star, has 11 rooms of a good standard, and at a very reasonable price. Some have mountain views.

The Hôtel Alouette is completely non-smoking. It is located in a quiet part of the town just 100m from the railway station, and 10 minutes on foot from the centre of the town.
There is no noise from the station, or from the small church of Barcugnas opposite because the bells never ring!

Free car parking is available outside the Hôtel Alouette, or if your vehicle is large, you can park at the railway station.
The GR10 long distance footpath (Grande Randonnée) runs through Bagnères-de-Luchon and within 100m of the Hôtel Alouette. The path is easy, well maintained and clearly marked with small red and white signs. It gives you the opportunity to discover superb mountains and valleys.
There are also many other paths that start very close to the Hôtel Alouette.
The Tour de France passes through Bagnères-de-Luchon every other year. For amateur cyclists there are two famous cols to challenge you: the col du Portillon and the col de Peyresourde. The Hôtel Alouette has a secure garage for storing your bike, at no extra charge.
Bagnères-de-Luchon is also a great place for mountain biking. There are many paths and forest tracks that criss-cross the mountains. The most spectacular is the decent from SuperBagnères (1800m), which can be reached by cable car from the centre of town.
We welcome cyclists as the Hôtel des Sports is recommended by the Fédération Française de CycloTourisme and the Ligue Midi Pyrénées de CycloTourisme.
Would you like a thermal cure? When you are settled in at the Hôtel Alouette (completely non-smoking, in a quiet part of town) you can catch a free shuttle bus from outside the hotel to take you to the thermal baths and back. Or if you prefer to walk it will take 20 minutes to reach the baths.
As well as special treatments, the thermal baths of Bagnères-de-Luchon are a centre for regaining your general health.
Bagnères-de-Luchon also has a ski resort, Superbagnères. It can be reached by cable car from the centre of town, and offers many graded runs at between 1420m - 2200m.Two other ski stations 20 minutes from the Hôtel Alouette by car offer more pistes as well as toboggan runs.
